Driver Arrested Following Collision, 4 sent to hospital

WALLA WALLA, WA - WWPD officers and EMS personnel were dispatched to an injury collision Friday night in the 500 block of Washington Street. The call came in at 10:29 p.m. of a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed crashing into a legally parked and unoccupied vehicle. The collision took place after the driver lost control while attempting to negotiate a curve in the road.
Officers arriving at the scene found four occupants, two of which were unconscious.
All four occupants were transported to local hospitals. It appeared most of the occupants were not wearing seatbelts. The driver of the vehicle, Jesus T. Sosapavon, 18, was taken into custody, after being treated for his injuries, for 2 felony counts of Vehicular Assault after admitting to consuming alcohol prior to driving the borrowed 2000, Pontiac, into the parked 2012, Dodge, SUV.
All three teens, ages 16 and 17, were treated and released for their injuries.
