Wa-Hi Violinist Qualifies for State Solo and Ensemble Competition

WALLA WALLA - This past Saturday the CBMEA Solo and Ensemble contest was held at Richland High School all day.
The Wa-Hi Orchestra had 6 students involved in this event with five that have placed and one going on to the State Solo and Ensemble Competition at the end of April!
They are:
Jennifer Cho, violin, freshman - State qualifier & winner of the violin category
Bryn Chacon, cello, freshman - 1st alternate
Quinn Anderson, cello, junior - 2nd alternate
'Freshman trio' (Jennifer Cho, violin; Will Liening, violin, freshman; and Kelsey Gabel, viola, junior) - 2nd alternate
If any winners find that they cannot attend State then the next alternate available is selected.

Sean Newcomb---Flute solo 2nd Alternate
Amy Ueckert------Clarinet Solo 1st Alternate
Machado Mijiga---Alto Sax Solo 1st Alternate
Kyli Hymphreys---French Horn Solo Winner!
If any winners find that cannot attend State then the next alternate available is selected.
