With Super Bowl LX spotlighting two storied franchises, this year’s matchup also features several players with Latino heritage making an impact on the game’s biggest stage. From emerging stars to proven veterans, these athletes represent the growing influence of Latinos in the NFL.

Below are several players to watch from the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks as they prepare for Super Bowl Sunday.

Here’s a look at six standout Latino players to watch in Super Bowl LX:

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

Andres Borregales | Kicker | New England Patriots | Venezuelan Heritage
Rookie kicker Andrés Borregales has been a steady and clutch special teams contributor for New England. In his debut NFL season, he made 27 of 32 field goals and 53 extra points. Borregales was named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 12 of the 2025 NFL season after converting a career-high four field goals (including a 52-yarder) in a win against the Bengals, becoming the first rookie kicker in Patriots history to win the award. He also made both extra points for 14 total points, contributing significantly to the Patriots’ victory. As Super Bowl LX could come down to special teams, Borregales’ leg may prove to be a decisive factor.

Christian Gonzalez | DB | New England Patriots | Colombian Heritage

Christian Gonzalez solidified the Patriots’ secondary as a shutdown corner in his third NFL season. A Pro Bowl selection in 2025 and second-team All-Pro in 2024, Gonzalez combines physical coverage with playmaking instincts, finishing the 2025 regular season with 10 pass breakups and 69 tackles. His lockdown skills helped New England control opposing passing games on their way to the AFC East title. Gonzalez, who picked off Denver QB Jarrett Stidham to clinch the AFC title for the Patriots, will look to take away opponents’ top receivers as New England chases another championship.

Jaylinn Hawkins | DB | New England Patriots | Panamanian Heritage

Jaylinn Hawkins has emerged as a versatile leader in the Patriots’ secondary, contributing in both coverage and run support. Recording four interceptions and 71 tackles during the regular season, Hawkins has brought physicality and consistency to New England’s defense. A veteran in his seventh NFL season, Hawkins’ ability to diagnose plays and deliver timely stops will be critical against Seattle’s dynamic offense.

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

Elijah Arroyo | Tight End | Seattle Seahawks | Mexican Heritage
A big, athletic tight end, Elijah Arroyo can be a weapon in the passing game for the Seahawks when healthy. The 6-foot-5, 250 lb. Arroyo was selected in the second round by Seattle, and he brings a rare combination of size, strength, and speed to their offense.

Arroyo emerged as a star for the Miami Hurricanes in 2024, catching 35 passes for 590 yards and 7 touchdowns to earn second team All-ACC honors in first full season as starter. He was limited to just 13 games in his debut NFL season, missing the final month of the regular season and all postseason games to this point due to a knee injury. Arroyo has been practicing since early January and hopes to be available on Super Bowl Sunday.

Julian Love | DB | Seattle Seahawks | Cuban & Mexican Heritage

Julian Love brings elite veteran leadership and playmaking ability to the Seahawks’ defensive backfield this postseason. A former Pro Bowler, Love’s experience in coverage and run support stabilizes Seattle’s secondary, allowing the team to match up effectively against diverse playoff offenses. Though not always flashy in the box score, his reliable tackling and veteran savvy can be vital in situational defensive success. While Love has battled injury in 2025, missing half of the season due to injury, he returned to action in December and helped the Seahawks close the regular season with five consecutive victories. His presence elevates Seattle’s defensive versatility and communication, which will make him a key piece for the NFC champions as they look to win their second Super Bowl in franchise history.

Federico Maranges | OL | Seattle Seahawks | Puerto Rican Heritage

Federico Maranges’ story is one of perseverance. A native of Puerto Rico, Maranges relocated to Miami, Florida, after Hurricane Maria in 2017. He was a star at Columbus High School before becoming a two-time team captain at Florida Atlantic. Maranges went undrafted but was determined to continue his football dreams and joined the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent. He has spent the entire 2025 season on Seattle’s practice squad, developing as a center for the NFC champions.

These players highlight the diverse backgrounds shaping today’s NFL and offer compelling storylines as Super Bowl LX approaches.
