SUNNYSIDE, WA. – Lifelong resident of Yakima announced on Monday at Central Park in Sunnyside his decision to run for the 14th Legislative District Position 2 now being held by the legislature and incumbent Deb Manjarrez.
Sandoval met with La Voz and made his announcement in his energy he has to time to make some changes by someone that has history, experience and knowledge of the Yakima County and can represent everyone on both sides of the aisle.
Tony Sandoval has a degree in Associate of Arts from Yakima Valley College, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington State University, Sandoval grew up in the City of Wapato and currently resides in Yakima and is a licensed Agent and head of Promotions for Gunpowder Creek Wines.
Many years of service in the Yakima Community and have vast knowledge of its culture and can communicate in English and Spanish to serve both English and Spanish residents and support issues from all that live in the Yakima County and the 14th District.
Sandoval said, “I have been walking around Sunnyside for the past 2 hours and no one that I met even knows the name of their state representative” and “many recognized me or remember my name and have seen me in many events and meetings.
Key platforms are to promote policies that would contribute to job growth in the 14th District, Public Safety and promises to work with agencies and local law departments in reducing violent crime.
Also, Sandoval will do everything within his reach in safeguarding agricultural interest that helps address and resolve Washington State’s trade disputes, ensuring it continues to be a leading export market not only the 14th District but also in the State of Washington and the entire nation.
Elected as the representative of the 14th District Position 2 I will assure to immigration Legal Protections and safeguard the farm worker and the work force of the farm work.
Sandoval promises to keep in touch with his district by holding Town Hall meetings quarterly or as many times as the residents want to see him and his phone is always will be available to the public. “I will respond and find solutions to the problems.”
“I look forward in meeting everyone in the 14th District and shake your hands and find out everyone’s needs and concerns and speak in your language” says Sandoval.
