Rice sold in WA stores recalled for ‘foreign materials.’ Here’s what to know

Richvale, California – Potentially contaminated rice was sold at stores in Washington state, according to an update from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. More than 27,000 packages of organic white rice were recalled due to “potential contamination with foreign materials,” the FDA said in an enforcement report.

Lundberg Family Farms in Richvale, California, initially issued a voluntary recall on April 3, the FDA said in its enforcement report. The recall impacts affects a total of 27,324 packages of Lundberg Family Farms rice labeled as “best before” Feb. 1, 2027, and Feb. 2, 2027. Here’s which kind: Lundberg Family Farms White Jasmine Rice: 32 ounces The Universal Product Code on the recalled packages of rice is 073416-040281, the FDA said, while the affected lot codes are 260201 and 260202.
